Students explore conceptually relevant applications that are meaningful
to their academic and career pathways


MLI promotes the incorporation of applications and how mathematics is used in the world around us in all levels of mathematics classes. At appropriate levels this is done in ways that mathematical expressions and representations have real meaning to students, the use of numbers, geometry, and equations describe meaningful relationships that can be explored, justified, and questioned. Extensions can be conjectured to new contexts that foster the flexible transfer of the concepts.
